Collection: The Love Letter by Shosha Kamal
A circle of light shaped from an ancient love.
Inspired by the love of Ramses II and Nefertari, The Love Letter translates one of Egypt’s earliest recorded love notes into contemporary design. At Abu Simbel, Ramses carved a single phrase dedicated to his queen: “The Sun Shines For Her.”
Designer Shosha Kamal brings this tenderness into the present through a series of circular wall lamps made from Mai-t’s recycled plastic sheets. The circle — the oldest symbol of eternity — becomes her canvas. Engraved with the same hieroglyphs found in the temple, each lamp glows in warm, sun-born hues.
In Shosha’s hands, the circle does more than illuminate. It completes the idea of circularity itself: waste becomes warmth, plastic becomes affection, light becomes a love letter.
This collection is for those who love, those who are loved, and those still searching for it.
