Care Instructions

  • Clean with a soft, damp micro fiber cloth and mild soap only.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges — they may dull the finish.
  • Each piece has natural marbling and micro-imperfections — these are part of the material’s story, not defects.

Circular Impact

  • Each object is handcrafted in our solar-powered studio in Cairo.
  • Made from 100% recycled Egyptian plastic — mixed, melted, pressed, and finished by hand.
  • Color variations, starburst patterns, and marbled textures are unique to every batch.
  • No two pieces are identical — your piece is a one-of-one.
  • Our recycled plastic is durable, water-resistant, and long-lasting.
  • Imperfections are intentionally preserved as part of Mai-t’s circular design philosophy.

For centuries, the Khamsa hung on walls as a blessing. This mirror continues that tradition — but instead of metal or clay, it’s made from reclaimed Egyptian waste.

Yasmin Noureldin envisioned the mirror as a threshold object: something that meets you at the door, accompanies your daily rituals, and reframes the act of looking at yourself. The material’s imperfections turn the frame into a constellation, as if protection itself were glowing around the mirror.

In a world overwhelmed by fast decor, this mirror is a cultural anchor — a symbol reborn.
